Little things mean alot!

This system allows natural persons who pay taxes to donate a percentage of 2% from income taxes towards a non-profit entity, established according to Ordinance no. 26/200 regarding associations and foundations.

International Award for Young People Children in Distress Foundation had the pleasure to be invited and participate at International Award for Young People Reception held on the 15th of May 2012 at the British Ambassador’s residence in Bucharest, his Excellency Martin Harris OBE. Other participants at this event included Mr. Asif Rangoonwala, President of Rangoonwala Foundation, representatives from the Romanian Ministry of Youth and Presidential Institution (Daniel Funeriu) and many other representatives of associations and foundations from our country or abroad. view
Young volunteers from Denmark visited Saint Margaret's children. As the warm weather finally arrived, the children from Saint Margaret’s Centre can barely wait each day to go outside and have fun in the sun. The Centre’s nurses always make up new games and invent great stories with heroes waiting to be discovered in the grass, near the lovely spring flowers. view
Ana-Maria Raluca Date of birth: 09.09.2011 Date of decease: 07.05.2012 Raluca’s state of health deteriorated severely starting 3rd of May. Her hands and feet were cyanotic and with edema. On 7th of May, Raluca was taken to the Victor Gomoiu Hospital. Late in the afternoon, the doctors announced her decease. Cause of death: heart and respiratory failure.  view
Open Your Soul The Accounting and Bookkeeping Information System Student Association (ASCIG) started a new project in April this year: Open your soul. This new project is meant to get students involved in taking care of disadvantaged children found in different facilities and it is scheduled to take place until the 15th of May 2012. view
We celebrated Florin's Birthday! In 2000, a small little boy of only six months was admitted at "Saint Margaret's" Centre from Bucharest, after he was abandoned at the Victor Gomoiu Hospital - Bucharest. Almost twelve years went by since then and Florin grew up, and although he has a merciless diagnosis, he became a young man we are very proud of. view
Easter Bazaar Each year, during Easter celebration period, Children in Distress Foundation organizes a fund-raising event: Easter Bazaar. This year we are very proud to announce our Easter Bazaar which is currently held at Chez Marie Restaurant from Bucharest, our lovely host for great events and festivities.  Easter Bazaar is an exhibition which started on the 6th of April and will continue until Sunday, the 15th of April 2012. view

Fire Prevention and Extinction Training at Saint Margaret's Tuesday, on the 20th of March 2012, at Saint Margaret’s Centre headquarters, an introduction training took place for fire prevention and extinction according to the provisions and regulations found in the Fire prevention and extinction Law in force (FPE Law No. 307/2006). view
The National Day of Ireland As the National Day of Ireland, Saint Patrick's Day, was celebrated in Bucharest, the Embassy of Ireland through Mr. Ambassador Oliver Grogan, had the pleasure of inviting us to participate at an event held on the 15th of March at Hilton Hotel from Bucharest. The Foundation participated sending its representative Mrs. Valentina Zaharia, executive director, and she was joined by the lovely Mrs. Maria Popa, our events host and active supporter of our causes, owner of Chez Marie Restaurant. view
Young volunteers visited Saint Margaret's Hospice Saturday, on the 10th of March, during an almost springy and sunny day, the children from Saint Margaret’s Hospice warmly received the visit of a group of young volunteers of the Serban Voda Church from Bucharest. The young people were extremely impressed with the cases found at the hospice and spent several hours there in order to find out as much as possible about each child and case. Florin, Darius and Rafael were the first ones to greet them and together they started playing with the twelve young volunteers. view
