Already a routine, Saint Margaret’s children are periodically seen and checked by specialists. This time, Nicoleta and Darius had to be checked by their orthopaedist. The doctor was delighted to be reunited with his two special patients and following a thorough examination and various medical tests, he concluded that the little ones are stable and some progress could be noted regarding their overall evolution.
Darius was praised for his determination to stick to his pre-established diet, his ability to always get active and resume his wheelchair rides. The doctor recommended us to purchase a special wheelchair which features a corset so that his upper torso is maintained in a perfectly aligned position and to prevent any problems with his spine. The corset must be attached to the chair and must allow a better body positioning while the little one is sat in his wheelchair.
The kind doctor was surprised to find Nicoleta in good spirits and was amazed to see she is so inquisitive and cheerful all the time, ready to explore the surrounding environment thus he recommended that the little one must get actively involved in her physiotherapy sessions and scheduled another check-up with a Professor Doctor at the orthopaedics department to evaluate the risk of performing several complicated surgical interventions which require periodical follow-ups based on Nicoleta’s growth rate.
The routine medical check-up concluded on a positive note as the doctor hopes the children will make further progress and continue to be in good health.
