CID on Thanksgiving: Little things always make a huge difference

Rafi, Maria and Florin put on their fancy clothes, Andrei accessorized his pants with a cute pair of shoulder straps, Darius went on stage accompanied by Mrs. Valentina offering everybody the broadest and most sincere smile as the event’s host. While looking at them you ask yourself how can such big souls fit in such tiny bodies. CID’s Thanksgiving Gala was about these souls, about every one of these big hearts who arrived at the event to thank those whom have always been by their side.
A smile and a lending hand when found in need – for all the small gestures that change our lives and that our friends have been doing for years, Children in Distress Foundation organized on June 16, at Caro Hotel, the CID Thanksgiving event. Dear friends got together to celebrate kindness, involvement, volunteering spirit, to get to know each other better and RSVP’d to those who are the recipients of their support and love. It was a day full of joy, music, dance and lots and lots of smiles.
Emotion could be felt in every detail but especially in Valentina’s trembling voice and the warm hugs she generously gave. Each of those who stepped on the red carpet took with them much more than the Thanksgiving Letter and the Superhero medal: they all went home feeling confident that small gestures can really make a huge difference and create a better world.
