Saint Nicholas arrived carrying loads of gifts of love at Saint Margaret’s Centre. We enjoyed our share of excitement which commenced last night, when our little ones, with the help of Saint Margaret’s caregivers, carefully cleaned and polished their boots so that Saint Nicholas can place the presents in them. Nicoleta, Darius, Andrei and Cristina and the other kids gladly went to sleep knowing that Saint Nicholas will, for sure, bring them sweets and presents.
Bright and early in the morning, the little ones went straight for their boots to check what Saint Nicholas left in them. Nicoleta enjoyed even the little twig, a reminder that she is sometimes cheeky and Darius and his little sister quickly unwrapped their chocolate eggs to see what surprise was hidden inside. Moreover, Nicoleta celebrated her Name’s Day, another occasion for them to have fun and play around.
One thorough inventory of received toys and gifts later, the little ones promised to behave from then on. On December 25 Santa will bring them even more beautiful presents if they listen to Saint Nicholas’ advice.
The Winter holidays are among the children’s favourite events of the year, because there’s a lot of happiness involved in the mix and the family type of environment in which they live is beneficial for their positive emotional development.
Anniversary Party
Another reason to celebrate at Saint Margaret’s Centre as Nicoleta and Stefan are now older and perhaps wiser. Nicoleta turned 5 years old and Stefan is now 3. They are already good friends who like to spend time together and play together so we decided to throw them a double birthday party. Everyone was ready to party and came around to hug and wish a belated “happy birthday” to our two stars. The birthday cake was also a special confection and the little ones got to blow the huge candle and then everyone got the chance to taste a delicious slice. Next, presents were opened, special gifts sent by our dear UK supporters and friends. We hope that next year, Nicoleta and Stefan will continue to make progress, to impress us with their sheer will and to continue to delight us with their precious and innocent smiles.
